Jack Trawer
(850–?)
Jack Trawer was a Danish Viking warrior and musician, born in 850 AD. During the Middle Ages, Danish Vikings spread terror across much of Europe, conquering England and numerous other territories. Jack served as a soldier under King Knud (Canute), whose rule extended from Norway to England around the year 865. Renowned for his bravery and combat skill, Jack became a highly respected warrior throughout the kingdom. However, during a battle near Edinburgh, Scotland, in 868, he suffered devastating injuries: he was struck by the blade of a sword and pierced by countless arrows. He was taken to Copenhagen, where he received treatment for one hundred days, yet his wounds never fully healed. Despite this, Jack continued to take part in military campaigns, including the Viking siege of Paris in 871. Over time, he was forgotten by history—but he never died. Centuries later, in 1915, he arrived in Chile, settling in Concepción after fleeing the context of World War I. As a former warrior, he rejected modern forms of warfare, which lacked the close combat that had defined his life. Today, he is a member of the band Strawers. He has followed the evolution of rock music since its beginnings, and although he appreciates music in general, his greatest affinity lies with Nordic metal, as it reminds him of his homeland. He maintains a close relationship with the other band members and actively evaluates their compositions. Due to the passage of time and the lasting effects of his injuries, Jack must cover his face when going outside, as his appearance is extremely aged—resembling that of a skull. |

Trawer Ball
(?–?)
The Trawer Ball is an entity originating from a dimension unknown to humankind. Its origin is uncertain, and there is no record of its birth. It first appeared to the band during a rehearsal, expressing a desire to understand music, as in its dimension music is scarce, distorted, and known only to a few. According to the creature, its species possesses extraordinary abilities: they can become invisible and remain undetectable to humans. However, the Trawer Ball chose to reveal itself voluntarily, driven by curiosity and a desire to make contact. Since then, it has accompanied Strawers with a clear purpose: to gather enough music to take back to its dimension, where it hopes to share it with its kind and preserve it for eternity. It acts as a constant observer, recording every rehearsal, composition, and performance. This enigmatic being appears and disappears without warning. It is small in size, floats in the air, and has a playful, mischievous personality. It enjoys making exaggerated faces and laughing at everything, bringing a presence that is as strange as it is captivating. |
